Tahiti airport
There are a number of convenient facilities at the Tahiti Airport (in Faaa servicing Papeete) to make a wait more convenient. During the day there is an internet cafe, McDonald’s go express, a cafe, car rental counter, currency exchange, luggage storage, and a few shops. Across the street, there is also the Ocean Chinese food restaurant (don’t come if you are towing luggage as it is not permitted if busy). In the evenings there are also a few roulottes (food trucks) a little further down the same street parallel to the airport.
There is not much else in the immediate area without taking a taxi cab. If you are needing to spend the night somewhere, directly across the street is the Tahiti Airport Motel. A simple yet convenient place to sleep that includes a free continental breakfast. When in Tahiti, you can make use of the facilities in and around the airport. Enjoy your time in Tahiti!
