Day 7 – Canada: Amusement Park and a Prairie Drive to Battleford, Saskatchewan

June 4, 2009 – Day 7

Sleeping In
Seep In! Wow, amazing. Sleeping in a hotel we were able to put our 1 year old in a dark room, the perfect solution to sleeping in. After posting some blogs and relaxing in the morning I called and received the great news that our motorhome’s electrical problems were resolved. I do have to say that it is not easy when away from home figuring out how to solve what may seem like simple problems. It was a challenge already to find a place that could help us out at the last minute. I took 3 of the boys with me to give mom a bit of a breather and we headed in a taxi to get our portable home.

Amusement Park at West Edmonton Mall
Galaxyland Amusement Park
We were back 2 hours later for the fun and excitement of Galaxyland. West Edmonton Mall’s indoor amusement park. Unfortunately the two largest roller coasters were not operating but there was enough fun and excitement to keep the kids busy for a few hours. The best thing with the afternoon rides were that there were no lineups. We walked to the front of the line every time (although we had to wait for ride operators to come to some rides as many were operating two different rides in different areas.

Saskatchewan here we Come
After a great dinner at the food fair where every one of us went to a different restaurant and sat together to eat, we headed off on our drive to Saskatchewan. It was dusk by the time we reached Saskatchewan and we found it impossible to find a sign welcoming us to this province. In the end we stood on the side of the street where an Alberta / Saskatchewan sign marker was displayed.
