Day 21 Ready for Landfall and Breaking up the Monotony

day22-DSC01022 (Custom)

After cleaning out Eli and Orin’s room yesterday we discovered a few items we forgot that we had included with our pre-sailing purchases. Among our discoveries were a variety of activity books and craft supplies. Zakary, Eli, Teyauna, Orin and Alyssa have been busy painting and coloring paper sea turtles, sea horses and tropical fish then hanging them out on the clothes line to dry. It is a simple yet creative way to do something a little different than normal and to break up the monotony of sailing in one direction without having to move the sails around. Jaeden even joined in on the creative artwork when Kirsten turned it into a game.

Just curious if you guys know about Kids4Sail.org. It’s a forum for cruising families with kids. My friend Behan at http://sv-totem.blogspot.com recommended it. We just joined and look forward to exploring it. Smooth sailing.
